Capcom has officially launched a new limited-time collaboration event within Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, integrating content from the popular manga and anime series Delicious in Dungeon. Created by Ryoko Kui and adapted into a 2024 anime by Studio Trigger, Delicious in Dungeon follows an adventuring party that navigates a fantasy world by cooking and consuming the monsters they encounter. This crossover brings the series’ core protagonists, the warrior Laios and the elven mage Marcille, into the high-fantasy setting of the game.
As confirmed by Capcom, the update is live immediately for players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Fans playing on the recently released Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game can expect the content to arrive on Wednesday, November 11th. The collaboration allows players to recruit specialized Official Pawns modeled after Laios and Marcille directly from in-game Riftstones. While these specific character Pawns are only available for recruitment until Thursday, January 28th, 2027, players can also secure permanent rewards by simply logging in during the event window.
By accessing their save data while the event is active, players will receive special crossover outfits modeled after the iconic attire of both characters. These items are automatically deposited into the player’s in-game storage and remain accessible for the Arisen or their Pawns to equip even after the event concludes in 2027. This provides a lasting way to customize characters with gear inspired by the hit fantasy series.
Beyond the crossover additions, the latest update for Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen includes a significant list of technical improvements and bug fixes. Notable resolutions include a fix for a freezing bug caused by the Unmaking Arrow, an issue where pawns would incorrectly jump off cliffs when called, and pathing errors that blocked progress in the Seeking the Sage quest. Other fixes address quest-breaking bugs in A Game of Wits and Beyond Ruin-Night, as well as general performance issues regarding environmental hazards like ice pillars and water navigation. Players are encouraged to review the full patch notes to ensure their game experience is up to date.
Why it matters
This collaboration represents a crossover between two distinct fantasy franchises. While the outfits provided to players are permanent assets, the recruitment of Laios and Marcille as Official Pawns is strictly time-limited, ending on January 28th, 2027. Players who wish to utilize these specific companion characters in their party should prioritize recruiting them before the deadline. Coupled with the extensive technical update, this patch serves as a major quality-of-life improvement for the game, addressing long-standing issues that previously hindered quest completion and character interaction.
