The developers behind the tactical shooter WARDOGS have released a new devlog providing an early look at the incoming Season 2 content. As Season 1 draws to a close, the team has taken the opportunity to reflect on a growth period that has seen the game reach over 3 million sales. While acknowledging the game is still early in its development cycle, the developers reiterated their commitment to maintaining transparency regarding the roadmap and future updates.
New Content and Arsenal Expansions
The upcoming season update is set to significantly broaden the game’s sandbox. Players can expect four new weapons: the TCX Spear (Assault Rifle), the M14 (DMR), the PP-19 Bizon (SMG), and the Evo-3 Ultra (LMG). These additions will be supported by a selection of new weapon attachments. Additionally, the update introduces the Molotov as a new throwable, designed to offer players a tool for both direct damage and area denial, featuring both overarm and underarm throwing mechanics.
Expanded Vehicle Roster
Mobility and combat engagement are seeing a shift with the addition of four new vehicles. The roster includes the fast, light Wolf-110 and its combat-ready variant, the Wolf-110 (Assault), which comes equipped with a ring-mounted M2 Browning. For heavier engagements, the developers are adding the T-72 main battle tank—positioned as a more fuel-efficient and cost-effective alternative to the existing Leopard—and the Flakpanzer Gepard, which serves as a dedicated anti-air vehicle.
Why it matters
For the current player base, this update represents a major infusion of variety into the existing meta. By introducing specialized tools like the Molotov and heavy armor like the T-72, the developers are directly addressing gameplay dynamics and strategic depth.
While the devlog provides a high-level overview of these additions, players should watch for the full patch notes arriving early next week. These notes will contain essential details regarding balance adjustments and specific mechanical tweaks that will likely determine how these new assets fit into the current landscape of WARDOGS. As the game continues to evolve, this update serves as a key indicator of the studio’s ongoing development momentum.
