That “Leaked GTA 6 Cheat List” Is GTA 5’s Cheat Menu With a Vice City Background

A viral graphic claiming to show GTA 6's full controller cheat mapping has passed 500,000 likes. Ralify traced all 37 entries: 15 come from GTA 5, 18 from San Andreas, three from both, and one is not a cheat in any Grand Theft Auto game.

A graphic claiming to show Grand Theft Auto 6’s complete controller cheat mapping has cleared half a million likes in under a week, with roughly 25,000 reposts carrying it across Instagram, X, Reddit and TikTok. Social media users sharing it describe it as a “fully mapped” DualSense layout for Leonida, pulled from a leak.

It is not a leak. It is Grand Theft Auto 5’s cheat menu, merged with San Andreas’ cheat menu, renumbered incorrectly, and placed on a Vice City sunset background.

We checked all 37 entries against Rockstar’s published cheat lists for both games. Not one of them is original to GTA 6.

What the numbers actually say

Fifteen of the entries are GTA 5 cheats, unchanged from 2013. Eighteen come from San Andreas, which shipped in 2004. Three exist in both games. The remaining entry, “Gravity Normal,” is not a cheat in any Grand Theft Auto title. It appears to be an invented line to pair with “Gravity Low,” which is GTA 5’s Moon Gravity cheat under a different name.

The GTA 5 borrowings are the easiest to spot because the vehicle names are specific and unusual. Buzzard, Comet, PCJ-600 and Sanchez are all Rockstar’s own in-universe model names, and all four appear in GTA 5’s spawn cheat list exactly as written here. So do Drunk Mode, Slidey Cars, Slow Motion, Fast Swim, Super Jump and Explosive Melee.

The San Andreas material is older and, for anyone who played the 2004 game, more obvious. “Weapon Set 1 — Thug Weapons,” “Weapon Set 2 — Professional Weapons” and “Weapon Set 3 — Nutter Weapons” are San Andreas’ actual in-game labels for its three weapon tiers. So is “Give Health, Armor & $250K,” which is the HESOYAM cheat, one of the most typed strings in the series’ history. Infinite Ammo, Spawn Jetpack, Spawn Tank, Mega Jump and the full set of weather cheats all come from the same game.

Put plainly, whoever made this graphic opened two wiki pages and combined them.

The graphic breaks its own numbering

The strongest evidence is not the codes. It is the formatting.

The list runs from 1 to 42 but only contains 37 entries. Numbers 12, 18, 22, 25, 32 and 34 are missing entirely, with no gap or placeholder to explain them. Two separate rows are both numbered 33: “Slow Motion” and “Fast Swim.”

Datamined output does not do this. A cheat table extracted from a game build is a machine-generated list of functions with sequential indices, and if entries were removed to fit a graphic, the numbering would either be re-sequenced or left as a visible gap. Numbers vanishing at random while the count runs to 42 is what happens when someone builds a table by hand in a design tool, deletes a few rows, and does not renumber.

Then there are the spelling errors. Four of them: “Thunderstorn,” “Sandstorn,” “Explosive Melle” and “Nitrous Gaide.” A function name pulled from a compiled build carries the spelling the engineer typed. It does not develop typos in transit, and it certainly does not develop four of them clustered in the back half of the list where whoever was building the graphic was clearly getting tired.

There is nothing to datamine yet

The simplest problem with this leak is chronological. GTA 6 releases on 19 November 2026. There is no retail build, no review build and no public beta. Nobody outside Rockstar has the executable that a cheat table would have to be extracted from.

Every cheat code list published for GTA 6 between now and launch day falls into one of two categories: invented, or copied from an earlier game. This one is the second kind.

Worth noting separately: it is not settled that GTA 6 will ship a cheat menu at all. GTA Online has never had one, and Rockstar has spent a decade steadily de-emphasising single-player cheats rather than marketing them. Whether the feature returns is a legitimate open question. Whether this specific list is real is not.

Why this one spread

This is spreading through social media users and fan communities rather than news outlets, and the mechanics are worth understanding because you will see the same pattern again before November.

Cheat codes are a nostalgia trigger. Anyone who played San Andreas or GTA 5 recognises these strings instantly, which produces a feeling of authenticity before any critical read happens. The graphic is dense, which reads as thorough. The controller glyphs make it look technical. And the captions attached to it do the work the image cannot, using “allegedly” as cover while the surrounding text treats the content as settled.

That is engagement farming with a built-in escape hatch, and it works because recognition happens faster than verification.

How to check the next one yourself

Three questions will catch almost every fake GTA 6 leak between now and launch:

Does the content already exist in an older game? Search any two or three distinctive strings alongside “GTA 5” or “San Andreas.” Recycled leaks fail here immediately.

Does the artefact behave like a machine produced it? Broken sequences, duplicate identifiers and spelling mistakes in function names are hand-built tells.

Could the source physically exist? Before a game ships, datamined content has to come from a build somebody has. Ask which build, and who has it.

Applied to this graphic, it fails all three.

Ralify’s position: Fabricated. Not a leak, not a partial leak, not unconfirmed. The source material is publicly documented and predates GTA 6 by twelve and twenty-two years respectively.

We will publish GTA 6’s cheat codes when GTA 6 has cheat codes.
