If you have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the newly released The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake on the Nintendo Switch 2, you now have additional ways to experience its iconic score on the go. According to recent reporting from My Nintendo News, Nintendo has officially expanded the library of music available on the Nintendo Music app to include seven new tracks pulled directly from this latest version of the classic title.

This update is specifically timed to coincide with the official launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo Switch 2. By integrating these compositions into the Nintendo Music platform, the company is bridging the gap between its new hardware releases and its dedicated mobile listening experience. The tracks are currently available to all users who meet the service requirements, providing an immediate auditory companion to the updated adventure.

Expanded Soundtrack Library

Prior to this update, the Nintendo Music app offered a very limited selection from the game. Fans were previously restricted to listening only to the Title Theme, which served as the sole entry from this specific remake on the service. This new drop represents a significant improvement for fans of the game’s sound design, as it introduces seven major environmental themes to the library.

The newly added tracks include the memorable melodies for Kokiri Forest, Hyrule Field, the Market, Kakariko Village, Goron City, Zora Domain, and Gerudo Valley. These additions bring the total duration of available music from the Ocarina of Time remake on the app to nearly half an hour of playback time. The Nintendo Music app itself is available as a free download for both iOS and Android devices, and users also have the option to stream the music directly through a web browser. To access these tracks, players must maintain an active Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Why it matters

The addition of these tracks follows a established trend of Special Releases from Nintendo. The company frequently utilizes the Nintendo Music app to highlight newer software releases, providing curated collections that encourage players to engage with the music of their favorite games outside of the console environment. For the player, this means the Nintendo Music app is evolving into a more robust and essential companion to the Switch 2 ecosystem.

While the sudden influx of these seven tracks is a win for those enjoying the Ocarina of Time remake, it remains unclear if the full soundtrack will eventually arrive on the service or if Nintendo plans to roll out more selections in future waves. For now, players can dive into these seven tracks to enhance their journey as they navigate the updated version of Hyrule.
