How to Complete the Monster in the Night Side Quest in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave features various optional side quests that reward players with Renown. One such task is the ‘Monster in the Night’ quest, which requires players to be in the right place at the right time to trigger the encounter. Please note that the storyline for this specific quest changes significantly depending on whether you chose Leda as your protagonist.

Prerequisites and Timing

To begin this quest, you must have reached at least Chapter 5. The quest is located in the Dagsion area, specifically in the City Streets section on the upper level, positioned behind the Merchant Vendor. The primary constraint for this mission is time: the quest can only be undertaken during the night cycle. If the game is currently set to morning or evening, visit the Inn and use the ‘automate activities’ function to advance time by one or two turns until nightfall.

Completing the Encounter

Once it is night and you have accepted the quest from the civilian in Dagsion, you must travel to the easternmost point from the Arena Level. Navigate past the Inn on this level and take a right at the end of the street into the side street. The phantom will appear in this specific location, provided you have initiated the quest and the time of day is set to night. Successfully finishing the encounter will grant you the Renown bonus.
