Insomniac has released a new trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine showing off five alternate suits players will be able to equip in-game, marking the studio’s continued focus on cosmetic variety following the success of its Spider-Man games.

What’s in the Trailer

The new video highlights five distinct outfits coming to Marvel’s Wolverine. Three of these suits draw directly from Marvel comics history: the “Age of Apocalypse” suit, the “New Leather” suit, and the “Incredible” suit—with the Incredible suit being particularly significant as the one Wolverine wore in his first appearance in The Incredible Hulk issue #180.

The remaining two outfits, “Savage” and “Night Hunt,” are original designs created specifically for the game. The Night Hunt suit stands out by shifting Wolverine’s traditional yellow color scheme to blue, while the Savage variant gives him dark red eyes instead of his usual appearance.

How to Get Them

All five of these cosmetics are exclusive to the Digital Deluxe Edition of Marvel’s Wolverine, which costs $79.99 compared to the standard $69.99 price point. Beyond the suits themselves, the Digital Deluxe Edition also includes four PlayStation avatars, four technique points, and early access to unlock the “Classic Brown” suit ahead of standard players. The game will feature additional alternate suits beyond these five, though specifics on other cosmetics haven’t been detailed yet.

Marvel’s Wolverine launches September 15th exclusively on PS5 and will not come to PC, making it a long-term PlayStation exclusive.

Why This Matters

Cosmetic variety was one of the standout features in Insomniac’s Spider-Man games, where dozens of suit options pulled from film and comic history gave players a major incentive to explore and unlock content. That same philosophy is clearly carrying over to Wolverine, tapping into what fans already loved about the Spider-Man titles. The inclusion of iconic comic-accurate looks alongside original game-specific designs suggests Insomniac is balancing fan service with new creative direction—a formula that worked well before.

The decision to lock five suits behind the Digital Deluxe Edition’s $10 premium reflects a common modern practice in AAA releases, though it also means the standard edition will still have its own roster of unlockable suits to pursue.

What’s Next

As the September 15th launch approaches, expect more reveals about additional cosmetics and endgame unlockables. Players interested in the full cosmetic suite from day one will need to commit to the Digital Deluxe Edition, while those grabbing the standard version will likely see other suit options surface through gameplay progression.
