Delta Force is marking its second anniversary with a major shift in direction. Developer Team Jade has officially launched ‘Season Reorientation’ and unveiled an ambitious roadmap that signals a transition to Unreal Engine 5 technology for its tactical shooter, alongside a slew of gameplay updates intended to streamline the player experience.

New Gameplay and Engine Upgrades

Beginning in early 2027, players will gain access to ‘Siege: Valkyrie,’ a new Operations map built entirely on Unreal Engine 5. The map features a high-stakes, dual-layered city environment divided by a massive wall, separating wealthy high-rise districts from impoverished ruins. In a first for the series, this map will allow players of different difficulty tiers to compete in the same match, creating an unpredictable environment where risk and reward vary by zone.

Beyond the new map, Team Jade confirmed that Warfare mode is also receiving UE5 enhancements, with ‘The Mog’ map serving as the debut for these visual and performance updates. Further Warfare maps are scheduled for release starting in November, with a consistent pipeline of content planned throughout 2027. Additionally, a new bomb-defusal mode, ‘Detonation,’ is entering beta on September 27th for PC and mobile users, with console support to follow later this year.

Quality of Life and Community Content

Season Reorientation, which is live now, focuses heavily on reducing friction. New additions include one-click loadouts and a ‘Combat Support Fund’—an in-game loan system designed to help players gear up faster. For those newer to the tactical shooter, the G.T.I. Field Manual has been revamped, and a new tutorial is now available to help streamline the onboarding process. For the lore-focused, the first volume of ‘Operator Archives’ is available today, with plans for customizable ‘Operator Quarters’ coming in early 2027.

Why it matters

For the Delta Force community, these updates represent a significant pivot toward modernization and accessibility. By integrating Unreal Engine 5 and reworking match structures—such as mixing difficulty tiers—the developers are clearly aiming to keep the player base engaged as the game matures. The inclusion of more casual, non-combat activities like fishing in the updated ‘Layali Grove 2.0’ map suggests Team Jade is looking to broaden the game’s appeal beyond just high-tension tactical shooting.

With the game now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, mobile platforms, and PC, these changes aim to unify the cross-platform experience. Players should watch for the upcoming ‘Detonation’ beta and the continued rollout of the competitive RISE Series, which has already established a global footprint with recent regional titles in EMEA and the US.
