Amplitude Studios has released a new update for Endless Legend 2, identified as version 1.0.180, focusing on bug fixes and technical stability improvements. The patch addresses several community-reported issues, ranging from building construction problems to mechanical glitches in combat and faction-specific logic.
Refining Gameplay Mechanics
One of the primary adjustments in update 1.0.180 resolves a building limitation where the Lord’s Estate could not be constructed on level 2 minor faction villages. Combat has also received attention; the developer fixed an issue that made it impossible to auto-resolve fights against Stellar heroes, and repaired the “Death Touch” skill. Additionally, Sandshapers should now correctly receive bonuses when positioned on sand tiles. In terms of faction management, the update corrected a tooltip error for the Horatio population within the custom faction creator and removed the consume ability from the Severed Claws to better align the unit with its intended design.
AI and Stability Improvements
Players who enjoy experimenting with difficulty settings will be pleased to find that the AI now correctly purchases technologies when playing on the lowest difficulty tier. Beyond mechanical adjustments, the team has implemented several crash fixes. These include addressing errors triggered by battle states, issues related to food stock exceeding authorized maximums, and calculation errors regarding population costs. The developer noted that this patch incorporates 12 additional technical fixes aimed at improving overall stability.
Why it matters
For those currently engaged in the 1.0 release of Endless Legend 2, this patch is a significant quality-of-life update that smooths out performance bottlenecks and gameplay bugs. Players who previously found their campaigns hindered by stability crashes or AI passivity on lower difficulty levels should see a more consistent experience immediately following the update.
As the game continues to evolve post-launch, community feedback remains a core driver for these technical iterations. The studio has explicitly encouraged players to leave Steam reviews to help them prioritize future changes as they support the game’s ongoing development.
