Minecraft Dungeons 2 has received a fresh update, version 1.1.3.0, aimed at smoothing out some of the technical friction that players have been running into lately. According to reporting from Beebom, this hotfix focuses on stability, game-breaking progression bugs, and lingering issues with local multiplayer sessions.

Addressing Progression and Combat Hurdles

One of the most significant changes involves fixing quest progression. Previously, players could find themselves soft-locked if they left and rejoined a session during the Prime Enchanter arena fight, as the platform would remain lowered. The update also clears up confusion caused by incorrect quest markers in both the “Wrath of Sculker” and “Training with the Enchantsmith” missions. Additionally, the patch addresses a frustration where rapidly activating artifact slots would cause them to become unusable in the heat of combat.

Stability and Co-Op Improvements

For those playing together on the couch, the update tackles a specific bug that caused the game to lock up when returning to the main menu from the Overworld. The developers also fixed a secondary issue that would accidentally drop the second player from the party during character customization in multiplayer sessions. Beyond the gameplay tweaks, the team has improved overall login stability, specifically targeting the “CH1” error code.

Platform-Specific Updates

Players on specific consoles will see a few cosmetic and store-related changes. Both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 users will notice an updated game icon on their consoles. Meanwhile, Nintendo Switch players who were previously unable to access the Deluxe Edition store page should find that issue resolved with this release.

Why it matters

For the average player, this patch is a welcome “quality of life” upgrade that should make sessions, particularly in co-op, feel much more reliable. If you have been stuck unable to progress past the Prime Enchanter or have dealt with party members disappearing during character setup, this update is a mandatory install to restore standard functionality. These stability improvements are universal. If you notice any persistent crashes or lingering bugs after installing version 1.1.3.0, it is worth monitoring official channels for future hotfixes or reporting ongoing issues to the developers.
