RuneScape is kicking off the spooky season with a major content update, headlined by the introduction of the high-level Ghrazi Blood Knights boss encounter and the return of the Harvest Hollow seasonal event. As detailed in the official weekly update notes, these additions offer both intense combat challenges and community-focused festivities.

The Ghrazi Blood Knights

The Ghrazi Blood Knights arrive as a new high-level challenge requiring players to face Lady and Lord Ghrazi simultaneously. The encounter is designed to test combat coordination and reaction speeds, with players managing two distinct sets of mechanics. A ‘Race to World First’ event, hosted by The RS Guy and PupRS on the official Twitch channel, is currently underway to celebrate the boss’s launch. For those seeking a greater challenge, a solo-only encounter mode is scheduled to unlock four weeks after the initial release.

Harvest Hollow Returns

Running from October 12th through November 1st, the Harvest Hollow event brings back Halloween celebrations to Gielinor. This year introduces a new miniquest, “All Souls’ Eve,” which tasks players with assisting the Horsemen in preparing for the festivities. Completing this quest unlocks a “Trick or Treat” activity, allowing players to visit one another’s homes to exchange bags for rewards.

Notably, the event introduces the Pink Halloween Mask to the game. Players are guaranteed to receive this cosmetic item within their first 14 bags opened. The event also brings back popular activities like the Maize Maze and introduces new seasonal rewards in Reynold’s Harvest Boon Store, such as the 2007 Grim Reaper Hood and themed housing decorations. The H’Oddments store has returned temporarily, allowing players to spend remaining balances or convert them into Spooky Tokens before they are removed at the event’s end.

Why it matters

For players, this update provides a mix of high-stakes endgame content and accessible seasonal gameplay. The Ghrazi Blood Knights offer a significant gear and skill check for top-tier combatants, while the Harvest Hollow event serves as a low-barrier way for the broader player base to earn exclusive cosmetics like the Pink Halloween Mask through simple daily engagement.

Those looking to participate in the Horseclan Competition should note that supporting a favorite Horseman can yield a 20% boost to Spooky Tokens for their associated activities the following week. Additionally, the ability to earn Spooky Tokens outside the main event hub for the first time provides more flexibility for players to earn rewards while pursuing their standard in-game goals.
