Capcom has officially announced that the legendary actor Ron Perlman will be providing the narration for an upcoming promotional video spotlighting Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen. The reveal is set to premiere later today, October 7, 2026, at 3pm PT / 6pm ET / 11pm BST, offering fans a final look at the new content arriving in the expansion ahead of its official launch on October 9, 2026. This video will guide players through the new region of Norgan and beyond, showcasing the challenges and environments that await them in this expansion.

A familiar voice for RPG fans

Known for his iconic work as the narrator in the original Fallout game, Perlman is no stranger to the gaming industry. He has been a prolific voice actor throughout his career, famously serving as the narrator for multiple titles in the Fallout series and even providing the voice for the television anchor that announces the falling of the bombs in Fallout 4. Perlman once recounted his early work on the first Fallout game as a quick session where he did a couple of lines, received his 40 dollars and a sandwich, and went home, expressing surprise when he eventually learned the series had become a massive success.

Beyond his voice acting, Perlman has a prior history with Capcom. He starred in the 2020 Monster Hunter film, a collaboration that clearly left a positive impression on the publisher. This new partnership mirrors the marketing strategy Capcom employed for the base game launch, which featured narration by John Wick and Kung Fu Panda actor Ian McShane. Like McShane before him, Perlman is currently tasked with narrating this promotional video rather than acting as a voice character within the game itself. Fans are certainly hoping this collaboration involved a more substantial compensation than his legendary original Fallout paycheck.

Why it matters

This announcement serves as a major final promotional push for the Dark Arisen expansion. It underscores Capcom’s dedication to the cinematic presentation of the Dragon’s Dogma brand by enlisting recognizable, gravel-voiced talent to anchor their marketing materials. While Perlman’s role remains limited to this preview video, his involvement highlights the publisher’s ongoing commitment to building excitement for the title.

Players preparing to dive into the expansion should keep a close watch on official channels during the scheduled debut time to see the glimpse of the new mechanics and areas within Norgan. The anticipation for this release follows a significant recent update that addressed performance issues within the base game and successfully lowered the minimum PC system requirements, making the open-world RPG more accessible than it was at launch. As the community continues to explore the world, the introduction of this expansion is expected to build upon those technical improvements.
