Mad Angel combat achievements have arrived, giving players a new set of challenges tied to the recently introduced boss. Alongside the achievement rollout, Sailing has received several updates focused on improving core mechanics and courier task rewards.
What’s New in This Update
The Mad Angel now has a dedicated Combat Achievements section with tasks for players to tackle after getting familiar with the boss. Mad Angel kills now feed into the total boss kills tracker on your Combat Achievements. The Jeweller’s Chisel can now be stored in your Player-Owned House’s Magic Wardrobe, and its right-click menu has shifted from ‘Destroy’ to ‘Drop’ for easier inventory management.
Courier Tasks in Sailing now award Loot Sacks as completion rewards. These sacks come in five tiers—Tiny, Small, Medium, Large, and Huge—scaling based on task difficulty and distance traveled. Each sack has a 4-in-5 chance to contain GP scaled to its tier, or a 1-in-5 chance to hold a bundle of supplies that you receive all at once. The supplies themselves include dragon sheets, nails, cannonballs, various planks and bars, and ores. Port-specific thematic drops are also included based on location. Shark Paint remains a separate drop from Courier Tasks so it doesn’t replace other loot. Loot Sacks are stackable and work similarly to Hunter Rumour loot sacks.
Aligning your boat with offshore fishing spots has been smoothed out. These spots no longer have a south-western bias, meaning your approach direction feels consistent. Your boat is also no longer considered overlapping a fishing spot if it’s only touching the outer tiles.
The update also includes several smaller fixes: Alry the Angler’s Angling Accessories now shows correct item stocks, Group Storage chests work again for Group Ironmen, the Bronze scimitar crate on Ape Atoll displays the correct weapon sprite, empty vials clear properly in Last Man Standing when the ‘Smash empty vials’ setting is off, and Shoals no longer appear twice in level-up messages.
The PvP World rota has shifted to Period A with five active worlds across US, UK, Germany, and free-to-play regions. World 390 (AUS) for LMS Competitive and World 569 (AUS) for Bounty Hunter have both been activated with this rotation.
Why This Matters
Combat Achievements give high-level PvM players fresh goals tied to an existing boss, extending engagement with content that was recently added. The Courier Tasks overhaul directly addresses progression feedback by offering meaningful resource rewards—whether GP or supplies—that actually help with Sailing advancement rather than feeling like busy work.
The fishing spot alignment fix is a quality-of-life win for anyone doing offshore content. Small friction points like directional bias add up during extended play sessions, so smoothing that out improves the experience without changing core mechanics. Port-specific supply drops encourage players to engage with different areas of Sailing rather than always farming the same route.
What to Watch
Players should test whether Courier Task rewards make the grind toward mid-level Sailing feel more rewarding than before. The fishing spot changes may shift which routes players prefer for offshore activities.
