The Street Fighter 6 Year 4 roadmap is set to expand this autumn with the arrival of a massive new contender. Capcom has officially confirmed that Arjun, a hulking fighter hailing from India, will join the game’s roster on October 13, 2026.

Standing at 6’9″ and weighing in at 320 pounds, Arjun is designed to be an imposing physical threat. Based on early impressions from a private demo at the Tokyo Game Show, his moveset heavily leverages his size, using a combination of smoke, earth-based magic, and raw grappling power to dominate the stage.

Strategic Combat and Abilities

Arjun’s kit provides tools for both aggressive pressure and stage control. One of his core abilities involves summoning a smoke ring that can be deployed directly in front of him to catch close-range opponents, or sent flying as a projectile if the enemy is at a distance. This versatility makes the smoke ring a reliable combo starter or an effective zoning tool to discourage opponents from closing the gap or jumping in from the air.

Another key element of his kit is a telegraphed earth spire. By causing steam to billow from the ground, Arjun can force opponents to reposition or jump, creating openings for follow-up attacks. When paired with his signature hard-hitting throws—which slam opponents into the ground and launch them back into the air—Arjun’s offense is designed to make his Drive Impacts feel particularly punishing for anyone who whiffs a move.

Why it matters

For Street Fighter 6 players, the addition of Arjun represents a significant shift in the meta for heavy-class characters. His ability to control space with environmental hazards like smoke and earth gives players a new way to dictate the pace of a match, moving beyond standard rushdown or keep-away archetypes. As he joins the roster mid-October, players will need to adjust their defensive strategies to account for his unique ground-based traps.

While this update continues the momentum of the game’s fourth year of post-launch support, it remains to be seen how his specific move properties will influence competitive play. Players should prepare to lab their anti-air and defensive reactions to his earth-based attacks ahead of his official launch next month.
