EA Sports FC 27 reveals its elite 27 top-rated players across men’s and women’s squads

EA Sports FC 27 has unveiled its highest-rated players, showcasing 27 elite athletes across the men’s and women’s game. Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland share the top spot among men with a 91 overall rating, while Alexia Putellas leads the women at 91. The reveal gave players an early look at how their favorite stars stack up before launch, with more ratings reveals following through the week.

The top-rated men

At 91, Mbappe and Haaland sit alone at the top. A large group follows at 90: Rodri, Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha, Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Thibaut Courtois and Jude Bellingham.

The 89 tier includes Bruno Fernandes, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Vinicius Junior and Lionel Messi, whose rating went up compared with last year. The 88 tier includes Jan Oblak, Declan Rice, William Saliba, Virgil van Dijk, Achraf Hakimi, Joshua Kimmich and Luis Diaz.

The top-rated women

Alexia Putellas leads the women’s list at 91. Aitana Bonmati and Khadija Shaw follow at 90, and Mariona is rated 89. Other highly rated players in the top group include Patri Guijarro, Yui Hasegawa, Alessia Russo and Sam Kerr.

EA says ratings in FC 27 combine match data with the judgment of football experts, and in-game ratings can change during the season through live updates and special cards.

Release date and early access

EA Sports FC 27 launched worldwide on September 25, 2026. Players with the Ultimate Plus Edition received seven days of early access from September 18, giving them time to start building Ultimate Team squads before the general release.

Pre-ordering the Ultimate Plus Edition before August 31 also unlocked extra perks. These included up to 10,000 FC Points distributed over five months, Seasons 1 to 5 of the Premium Pass, and a Hall of FUT Player Pick letting players choose one of five legacy cards: Adebayo Akinfenwa, Giovani dos Santos, Loic Remy, Marouane Fellaini or Eljero Elia. EA’s official disclaimers page lists the conditions and restrictions.

What the ratings mean for Ultimate Team

For Ultimate Team players, the top ratings shape early market prices. The highest-rated gold cards, especially attackers with high pace like Mbappe and Lamine Yamal, are usually among the most expensive in the first weeks. Players on a budget often do better targeting the 88 and 89 tiers, where strong options such as Saliba, Rice or Kvaratskhelia can cost far less.
