The VALORANT Champions Shanghai 2026 playoff bracket is officially set following a high-stakes Sunday. LOUD and T1 secured the final two remaining spots in the tournament’s knockout stage, both punching their tickets with clean 2-0 sweeps in their respective decisive matches.

The Final Push to the Playoffs

LOUD’s path to the top eight saw them dismantle Global Esports across two maps. After a closely contested first half on Split, the Brazilian squad flipped the script by winning eight consecutive attacking rounds to take the map 13-8. They followed that up with a strong 13-9 performance on Sunset, led by in-game leader Roberto “erde” Lobos.

Simultaneously, T1 managed to overcome FUT Esports in their own 2-0 series. The South Korean side maintained composure in two tight 13-10 maps on Sunset and Ascent. Ham “iZu” Woo-ju was a standout performer for T1, helping the organization reach the Champions top eight for the first time in their three-year history at the event.

The Playoff Field

With the group stage concluded, the eight remaining teams are ready for the double-elimination knockout phase. The Americas region leads the representation with four teams—100 Thieves, NRG, G2 Esports, and LOUD. The Pacific region follows with three teams: Paper Rex, T1, and Nongshim RedForce. Team Vitality remains as the sole representative for the EMEA region.

The initial playoff matchups are locked in, with LOUD scheduled to face off against Paper Rex, and T1 preparing to take on NRG. While the intensity is at an all-time high, the double-elimination format offers a safety net; losers of these opening series will drop to the lower bracket rather than facing immediate elimination.

Why it matters

For fans, this shift marks the start of the most critical phase of the tournament. The entry of T1 into the top eight for the first time changes the narrative for the Pacific region, which now boasts three teams in the final stretch. As the tournament moves into these high-stakes matches, the primary narrative to watch is how these organizations adapt to the pressure of a double-elimination bracket, where one mistake no longer results in an immediate flight home.

Because the tournament utilizes a global format, regional fans in the Middle East and beyond can expect the schedule to shift toward these high-profile knockout matches. Keep an eye on how the Americas and Pacific regions continue to trade blows as the field narrows down to the eventual Champions title holder.
